Wednesday, 7th January 2009:

Today is a first class with my new lecturer,Sir Abd Malik Bin Mohd Rick that teach me in Fundamental of Computer Science known as CSC119.He will replaced Pn. Zuriati program until we done this semester.First thing that we do as Computer Science student is introduce ourselves.We must tell about our names,places,previous school and sibilings.Then,Sir Malik introduce himselves to everyone.

After the introduction session,Sir Malik begin to start our lesson in chapter 1,Information Technology,The Internet and You.Sir Malik explains about five parts of information system,types of software,types of computers and microcomputer hardware,data,connectivity, the wireless revolution and the internet.

Five parts of information system is people,procedures,software,hardware and data.Software consists of system and application software.There are three types of system software is operating system,utilities and device drivers.Application software includes basic and specialized application.Supercomputer,mainframe,minicomputer and microcomputer are four types of computers.Microcomputer hardware consists four basic of hardware devices that is system unit,input/output devices,secondary storage and communication devices.A modem modifieds signals for processing and communication.Data is the raw facts unprocessed about something.There are four types of file is document files,worksheet files,database files and presentation files.

After Sir Malik explain whole one chapter,we are divided into group,one group two person.We must complete the crossword puzzle,open-ended questions, and mathching questions.Then, he give us the assingments.The first assingments we must do is create a personal blog and write a summary of classes.Second,we must find in internet or references book about computer revolution and thirdly the history of the internet and who own the internet.Lastly,we have to complete this assingments in one week.
